About the Owner Castor Melendez

Born in the Bronx, New York & raised in Massachusetts, Melendez is one of five siblings. His parents, Castor & Myriam Melendez, became known in the communities they made home, for the “Mom & Pop” grocers and restaurants they owned and operated. His father relocated the family a final time in 1989, to Lancaster County, trusting the region would afford the family greater opportunities. Son Castor learned that commitment to one’s goals, accompanied by hard work, afford opportunity no matter the community you adopt as home. Melendez now resides in Manheim with his wife, Kendra, a teacher in the School District of Lancaster for over 15 years. Castor and Kendra have two children, Selena & Michael both in middle school. Melendez has been in the field of masonry since the age of 16. From vocational school, he progressed quickly through the levels of apprentice, laborer, and mason, because of hard work and a dedication to the craft. He is known for his commitment to the job, to his employees, and to the positive relationships that he builds with his customers.
